Ferari F1 formula one cars

Ferari is simply a Formula 1 legend, they are the only constuctor to have competed for the Formula 1 World Championship in every year since 1950. Until more recently Ferari have been the only team to build all the parts for its F1 cars, from engines and chassis, to the gearbox and suspension!
Ferari's F1 record is impressive, up to the 2004 season, Ferari had won 14 contructors and 14 drivers F1 championships, with 182 race wins and 178 pole position's, this is also a record! To this point Ferari have had 68 official divers, half of which went on to win at least 1 grand prix. It should also be noted that the F1 drivers championship although started in 1950, a contructors title did not appear until 1958, had it also started in 1950, Ferari would have an additional 4 titles to add to its impressive collection.
Whilst Ferari's commitment to F1 is not doubted, there is of course many business benifits to them, as well as the obvious public relations aspect there is the matter of the technlogy Ferari develop, much of which ends up on its production models. With this issue in mind Ferari set up a special working group to assist the transfer of the companies F1 developments, into their production models. Although there have been many F1 born developments that have filtered to the production cars, possibly the best known is the F1 style paddle gear box which was first fitted to a road car in 1997.
